The Tramontana is roaring again. From March 28 to April 26, the world's best big air riders will descend on Barcarès to defend titles, chase records, and prove who belongs at the top.
Spain's Lorenzo Casati arrives as the defending champion riding the wave of an unprecedented "Trilogy": King of the Air, Megaloop Challenge, and Lords of Tram in a single season. But Italy's Andrea Principi, a three-time Lords winner and the most consistent performer at this event, won't cede ground easily.
On the women's side, Mikaili Sol returns as defending champion with a story that defies belief — she sat out a year with injury and came back to win in 2025, claiming her eighth world title at just 21 years old. Francesca Maini (fresh off a Red Bull KOTA victory) will be putting the pressure on Mika.
With a month-long holding period guaranteeing the best winds, the stage is set for the season's most dramatic big air showdown.

Scoring
- 7 attempts per rider
- Best 4 tricks count
- Only highest score from each trick category counts (forces variety)
- 70% height / 30% technical difficulty
- Judges also evaluate: variety, smoothness, risk factor, landing consistency
- Tiebreaker: highest single trick score
Why the Month-Long Window?
The holding period (March 28 – April 26) ensures optimal Tramontana wind conditions and gives all riders multiple opportunities to land their best tricks. Rather than forcing a fixed-date contest, the GKA can call competition on the strongest days — maximizing safety, fairness, and the likelihood of an all-time highlight reel.
