Cumbuco runs on the Southeast trade winds. From July through November they blow daily, the same direction, the same time of day, building from late morning and holding through the afternoon. There's no direction drama like Tarifa's Levante/Poniente split. When the trades are on, they're on. When they're off (March-April), they're properly off.
August through October is the peak, it's rare to have a day without wind in this period, with nearly half of those over 20 knots. November and December are still good, winding down gradually. January through June is the wet season: rain, lighter winds, and from March to April as few as 6 kiteable days. But even in the quiet months, the water is 27°C and the lagoons are glassy.
