From competing in Mexico straight to compete in Germany... in just 3 days. This wasn't just a freestyle competition—it was a test of adaptability.

What happens when you finish one World Cup, jump on a 39-hour journey, cross 8 time zones, land in a completely different climate, and have to compete again almost immediately?

The second stop of the 2026 GKA Freestyle Kite World Cup took me to Borkum, Germany. We left behind tropical heat, warm water, and sunshine for the unpredictable North Sea, where every day brought something different.

One minute it was sunny. The next it was pouring rain. Thunderstorms rolled through, the wind disappeared, then came back stronger than ever. Every day demanded a different strategy.
