In November 2020, FLYSURFER HQ made the decision to complete their 2021 product shoot in South Africa.

In December the shoot gear gets air freighted to Cape Town, and on the very same day that the gear arrives, the president announces another lockdown: incl. the closure of all public outdoor spaces.

Shortly after Europe bans flights to South Africa.
Luckily half of the team was already in Cape Town, the remaining part did not exactly make it on time.

Beaches in South Africa are closed, and kiters are officially persona non grata!
